How do I join?
You can either book online via Mind Body Online or simply SHOW UP TO ANY CLASS. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BOOK. Just arrive 15 mins early to get settled.
You can try our welcome special offer 10 days of unlimited classes for only $49. Our special offer package deal is available only once – This offer starts the day of your first class, this means that you can try any class within the two week period. Even if you only try two classes this offer is still great value for money. Our package can be booked online via Mind Body Online or you can simply turn up to any class and pay cash or card at the studio. There is no need to book classes online but it is a good option to keep organised with your schedule.
But I am not flexible & have never tried Yoga before?
Yoga does not care if you are flexible, Yoga will increase flexibility and give you strength. I heard a saying once ‘saying you’re not flexible enough to do yoga is like saying you’re too dirty to have a bath!’. All our classes are suitable for all levels. Check out our class descriptions to read what all of the styles mean. Most of our students are at a beginner level and all of our teachers are extremely skilled at working with beginners as well as advanced practitioners.
How do I get to the studio?
The address is Soul Tribe Studio, 57 Beach Rd, Catalina, 2536. We are located next to Birdland. There is ample parking at the studio.
What time should I arrive?
Please aim to arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of class to give you time to settle into the space and talk to your teacher about your specific requirements. We understand that things happen, if you are a few minutes late you are permitted to enter the class. If you’re more than 5 minutes late it’s best to choose a different class.
What do I need to bring?
We supply mats and all other yoga props. If you have your own mat you are welcome to bring it but it’s not essential. We have filtered water available. It’s a good idea to bring a water bottle and a small towel if you tend to sweat a lot.
Is there a space to store my valuables?
Yes you can store your valuables in the storage areas provided. It is really important to make sure your phone is OFF or on airplane mode (please don’t leave on vibrate). Turning your phone off also reduces wifi interference in the practice
How often should I come to class?
As often as possible (every day is ideal!) but we recommend at least 3 times a week to really experience the transformational benefits on a physical, mental, emotional and energetic level.
What should I wear?
Anything that you feel comfortable in and can stretch in. For the ladies, it’s a good idea to have a top that is fitted around the chest, as sometimes baggy clothes on top can get in our way. Guys could wear tracksuit bottoms/shorts and a t-shirt.
Should I eat before class?
We advise not eating at least 2 hours before class. Practicing yoga on a full stomach is not a pleasant experience! Ensure you are well hydrated before class (and always!). You can have a very light snack before class if you feel hungry. You can bring your water bottle into class with you, although we advise to not drink during the class. Staying hydrated before and after class is very important.
What if I have injuries?
Please let your teacher know and ensure you have clearance from your own health professional to undertake yoga.
