Beautiful ME - Body Image Workshop

Beautiful Me: Yoga For Body Image, Body Love & Inclusivity

Sunday 22nd September 2019, 10:00am-4:00pm, Soul Tribe Studio Bateman's Bay.

Have you ever experienced moments of being confronted by the way in which you show up in this world? A world which often tells us how to be, how to act, what to look like, how to gender and how to conform. As I have journeyed through my own practice, I have at times been confronted by not fitting into certain spaces. I have navigated through my own feelings of self-worth that surround my body, my gender and my sexuality.

I was recently lucky enough to come under the guidance of one of my teachers Sarah Ball, exploring the concepts of Body Acceptance and Body Love. I believe this is something we may or may not all struggle with at some point, regardless of our colour, , weight, gender or ability. Perhaps we struggle with the way our body looks, the way we feel in it and the way we feel about ourselves. I also truly believe that when we are able to dismantle the societal hold over the way in which we view ourselves and others that the Yoga space and our own space can be full of love and inclusiveness.

This beautiful six hour workshop will allow us to delve deeply into exploring this space of acceptance. We will look at the ways in which our culture further perpetuates the struggles we so often have when it comes to accepting ourselves just as we are. And find a safe space together to dismantle and rebuild our sense of worth, of community and love for ourselves and others.
