Kirtan can be practiced by anyone, regardless of whether you feel you can sing or not! It’s a deeply connecting, transformative and joyful path and potent medicine for the times we are living in.
No prior experience is necessary and all are welcome!!
An integrating and bliss filled sound bath will complete the evening so you can float home and sleep deeply.
Geeti & Gyan’s open-hearted and inclusive facilitation enables people to relax, let go and open to uninhibited expression, deep nourishment and peace. The fruits of the practices are dedicated to the health and wellbeing of all beings and mother Earth.
More about Kirtan
Kirtan is a group call and response singing yoga practice that helps focus the mind, awaken our energy and open our heart. It incorporates mantra yoga, nāda yoga and bhakti yoga.
Kirtan invites us to ‘sing like the birds sing, not worrying about who hears or what they think’ (Rumi). It helps to free ourselves from inhibitions and connect us with our innate flow of creative expression.
Kirtan can be practiced by anyone, regardless of whether you feel you can sing or not! No prior experience is necessary and all are welcome!!
This is your personal connection to the peace within you through your unique voice and heart, carried by the collective energy of the group and music.
The mantras we sing together are from a variety of cultural traditions which charge and vibrate our entire energy system, and help greatly uplift our emotions, mood and wellbeing.
Sanskrit mantras are the subtle sound vibrations of the universe and our bodies. Mantra chanting, like planting seeds, can help awaken and make available this energy within us to help fulfil our potential.
