Introducing Josfulness 8 week mindfulness program. If you would like to learn some core mindfulness skills, based on Marsha Linehan’s - Dialectical Behaviour therapy (DBT) in a light joyful way - Then this is the short course for you.
In this 8 week program you will have an opportunity to :
Learn a stress /vulnerability model to build personal capacity to embrace a “life worth living”
Practice simple breathing techniques to help regulate distress.
Gain confidence in applying Core Mindfulness skills to life. Expand on tools such as : Observe , Describe and Participate skills. As well as how to be more “in the moment” and increase “effectiveness” , as “Non judgementally” as possible.
And in the final week we will be about putting all the skills together and consolidate what we have learnt back to living life with greater awareness . Allow a little extra time for a special thank you - of a Josfulness sound bath
These DBT informed sessions, build upon each other and attendance to all sessions is recommended to gain the most benefit. What an exciting opportunity to learn DBT informed, core mindfulness skills using music, art, light movement and breathing techniques.
What to bring :
You are encouraged to bring a journal, a water bottle, a yoga matt if you have one. Please wear comfortable clothes as we will be mostly sitting or performing light movement. You may require a cushion however there are some available in the Soul Tribe studio.
If you need a chair please let us know and we will arrange one.
