Friday 20 December 7pm - 830pm
A beautiful evening of chanting and Yoga Nidrā by candle light.
We will join our voices to chant Aum (Om) together continuously for a sublime 'Sea of Oms' and once our chanting comes to an end, Deepika will guide you through a deeply relaxing Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep) practice infused with sound.
Aum (Om): The word Om is the primordial sound of creation. It is the original vibration of the universe. From this first vibration, all other vibrations are able to manifest.
Om represents everything – the beginning, the middle and the end, the past, the present and the future. It encompasses all sounds – mankind, nature, machinery … it is the hum of the earth. ~ Mandukya Upanishad
About Yoga Nidrā: During Yoga Nidrā, you move between the states of wakefulness and sleep, where your body finds its natural state of equilibrium (homeostasis) and the breath balances and becomes quiet. Practicing Yoga Nidrā can improve sleep and memory, reduce stress and anxiety. The goal is for the body to be completely relaxed while the mind is awake and focused inward.
