Chanting 101
A 6 week course introduction into Vedic chanting with Rachel Nokes

Sessions will include a combination of :
◦ Sanskrit chanting
◦ Philosophy
◦ Āsana - gentle breath centric movements
◦ Prānāyāma - breathing practices
◦ Dharana - Concentration/ mediation
No experience is required, just an openness and curiosity to trying new things. This class includes some gentle movements suitable for all physical abilities chairs are encouraged to support students being comfortable when sitting. Handouts and recordings will be made available for your ongoing learning.

Rachel is a kind and compassionate teacher to invokes warmth, safety and playfulness in her facilitation style. She has been studying chanting for twenty five years with her teachers and continues to evolve as a student through her dedication to this practice. Rachel loves the way chanting has supported her personal development and gets great joy from seeing the benefits experienced by her students. Rachel works 1:1 using yoga therapy, somatic therapy and sound practices to support healing and wellbeing. She see’s clients at her clinic at Soul Tribe.
