ABOUT THE COURSE
Are you ready to become your most authentic, loving, peaceful, enthusiastic self?
Our 200 hour teacher training program is an immersion into the science, philosophy, bodywork, movement, breath, self-study and life long learning of YOGA.
Prepare for 4 months of transformational learning that will change your life. This course is a journey back to yourself. This course has been designed for those who want to teach yoga professionally, as well as those who wish to deepen their understanding & personal practice. It doesn’t matter if teaching yoga is the end goal or not. Let go of the outcome, your intention is what is important.
The word Yoga means Union. This training encourages you to re-connect, to unite with yourself, with the world around you, with your fellow humans and with universal consciousness in a tangible and authentic way. The yogic path creates a vehicle for self-transformation and insight through heart based learning, intuition, mind training and interpersonal relationships.
We recommend at least one year of regular, dedicated practice to commence this training. Course applications will be considered on a case by case basis. Experience in terms of advanced asana practice is NOT important. You are not required to ‘perform’ any particular asanas (it doesn’t matter if you can’t stand on your head) - your level of strength and flexibility does not matter. What is important is your willingness to step out of your comfort zone and lean in to challenge with an open heart and a tenacity and passion for learning.
Course numbers are limited for a small intimate group setting for maximum learning and support.

Our teacher training course is recognised Nationally and Internationally by Yoga Alliance Australia and Yoga Australia.

ABOUT US
Clare & Mathew have been friends and business partners since Clare completed her training at Dancing Warrior Yoga in early 2014. They share a passion for movement & philosophy and will spend hours musing and marvelling the mysteries of this universe. Their combined skills perfectly compliment each other in a unique blend of Yin (fluidity, grace, softness, receptivity, surrender) and Yang (drive, passion, determination, fire, creativity). They have both trained with master teachers Shiva Rea, Donna Farhi & Jasmine Tarkeshi.
Andrew Dowler presents Anatomy, Physiology and TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine).

Mathew is best known for his unique ability to help students understand their own unique physiology, and to embody their evolving spiritual yoga practice with grace and mindfulness, while highlighting a sense of happiness and personal well being as the eventual goal of the practice.
CLARE LOVELACE (Soul Tribe Studio)
Fundamentally I believe in love. I believe that humans are inherently loving, compassionate, generous and kind. I know that we all have the capacity to open our bodies, minds and hearts and live joyfully. My intention is to facilitate a space where others can be free and learn to fall in love with themselves, each other and the earth.
From an early age I have been fascinated by movement, play and the magic of the natural world. I love people and the earth and this love drives everything I do. My journey took me to the East Coast of Australia where I started practicing yoga. I felt my spirit return through sacred movement, breath and meditation. I realised that what I’d been searching for was inside me and I learnt the tools to connect with my own heart. I spent time immersing myself in the beauty of my surroundings, lounging in rivers, climbing mountains and falling asleep under the burning milky way. I fell back in love with the earth.
My passion for yoga grew as I started to understand that yoga isn’t something that we ‘do’ with our bodies, it is our natural state that we ‘are’. Yoga is simply a coming home, a journey back to ourselves. Through the practices of asana, philosophy and meditation I have realised the true nature of impermanence and understand that we do not ‘own’ anything. I know that my thoughts are real but not necessarily true. I have experienced the magic that happens when I think, act and speak from a place of love and trust. I believe in the power of the Earth. I believe that by living with respect, love and humility we can create a peaceful world and begin to heal the trauma of this Earth.
After a few years of dedicated practice, I completed my 200 hour teacher training under the guidance of master teacher Mathew Bergan at Dancing Warrior Yoga in Sydney in 2014. I fell in love with teaching immediately and even though the training was extremely challenging, I knew I had finally found my calling. I continued to train at Dancing Warrior Yoga for the next 4 years, completing my 500 hour Experienced teaching course within this time. I started teaching in 2014 and have dedicated my life to full-time teaching since then. I have taught at many major studios in Sydney as well as teaching yoga and mindfulness to organisations such as UNICEF and ABC Broadcasting.
I completed my 60 hour Yin teacher training with Sarah Powers in 2015 which changed my life and my practice completely. The practice of Yin, Tibetan Buddhist philosophy and mindfulness meditation gave me the tools to develop an inner ‘genuine happiness’ that was not dependent on other people or external situations.’
