WTF are chakras and why should we care?
If you ever read the internet you'll see that chakras get a bad rap. You know the memes, the JP Sears 'super spiritual guy' videos and endless jokes about 're-aligning your chakras'. Hilarious because it's partly true, there is so much mis-information out there.
I am passionate about de-mystifying the practices of yoga. Yoga is for everyone! Especially the people who don't think yoga is 'their thing'.
Maybe thats you?
You don't have to be flexible, you don't need fancy yoga clothes, you don't have to like the smell of incense, you DO NOT need to believe in chakras.
Let me tell you, I am NOT going to re-align your chakras. I have no idea how to do that. I don't even know if it's possible.
What I will do is share the movement, breath and meditation practices that continue to bestow upon me:
- gratitude, peace and contentment for life just as it is
- self acceptance
- a deep sense of genuine happiness that is not based on external stimulus
- increased connection with myself, others and the world around me
This 2 hour masterclass includes:
- chakra philosophy explained
- a flowing vinyasa sequence taking you on a journey through your subtle body
- how to sequence your own practice around the chakras
- rest, relaxation and meditation: how to tune into the subtle body when at rest
Open to everyone, Recommended at least 3 months of regular yoga practice. Class is live streamed via Zoom. Bookings essential. You will receive Zoom link 20 minutes before the workshop starts.
