" Yoga for Surfing" 6 week course every Wednesday 7.00pm - 8.00pm at Soul Tribe Studio, 57 Beach Rd Catalina, starting Wednesday 30th September. Cost - $175
Lots of surfers are hold back with injuries because they simply do not stretch enough.
Once again, yoga is the answer!
In this six week course we focus on the benefits of yoga to improve your surfing.
Together we practice through subjects such as:
- pre surf yoga/stretch sequences
- post surf recovery, restorative postures
- breathing techniques
- common injuries: prevention & healing
- core stability
- power yoga
& the opportunity to ask questions and dive into a specific surf based approach.
Documentations & study material will be provided during the course so you can create your own pre & post surf routine or how about a yoga session when it's flat.
About Kimmy
Kimberly is a Belgian Ashtanga yoga instructor at the studio and fell completely in love with surfing after moving to Australia. As yoga and surfing create the perfect marriage she'd love to share her stoke with other surfers and provide them with tips and tricks to improve their strenght, flexibility and performance.
This program is not only beneficial for surfing, but for every single board-sport in general and non-surfers are encouraged to apply as well. We'll move a lot, have fun and after all it's never to late to learn how to surf."
