What is Ecstatic Dance??

Ecstatic dance is a style of free-form dance in which the music guides the participants, evoking different emotive and movement states. With no formal structure or steps to follow, there is no right or wrong way to move. Get out of your head and into your body! Let go of self-limiting stories. 

You DONT have to be 'good at dancing!' There's no such thing! You have full permission to move how you want to move.

We start with an intro circle to set the guidelines. These are

- no talking

- no eye contact

- no physical contact

- eyes closed as much as possible (the room is dark as well!)

- allow your body to move how it wants to move, let go of what it looks like

Then we lead you through an exploration into movement, from lying through to standing. Then it's time to FREE DANCE! 45 mins of free movement, before coming back to a resting pose .

These events are inclusive of all ages and are drug and alcohol free. Come play, sweat, and connect. What to wear? Anything that you can shake it in!
