4 week Yoga for lower back pain, sacro-illiac stability and ease of movement with Vanessa Willis
This course is aimed at those new to yoga and regular practitioners alike who experience ongoing or intermittent lower back pain. You will gain insight into the common things yogis do that stuff up their sacrco-illiiac joint (SIJ) as well as tools and techniques to reduce pain and discomfort to refine your practice.
As someone who has experienced lower back pain intermittently I truly believe a regular yoga practice is a huge benefit in maintaining health and wellbeing. However I also believe that taking the time to tune into your body and learn how to practice asanas safely is crucial in restoring and maintaining lower back health. This course supports you to become an empowered practitioner and move away from the one size fits all approach to asana practice.
- Specifically this course will build your awareness of your sacro-iliac joint and the biomechanics of the pelvis, hip and spine. What is the SIJ and what does it do?
- Practices to gently reset and centre the pelvis.
- Practices to restore pelvic stability.
- Sequences that gently build core strength.
- Build stability and restore mobility in the pelvis and sacrum.
- Learn modifications you can use at all yoga classes and in your personal practice.
- Learn how to use props to support and enhance your practice.
